death stranding ps4

death stranding ps4
Death Stranding is an upcoming action video game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. It is the first game by game director Hideo Kojima and his company following the 2015 disbandment of Kojima Productions as a subsidiary of Konami and subsequent reformation as an independent studio. It was announced at Sony's E3 2016
conference, and has no set release date

.

Actors Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen will portray leading characters in the game, through motion capture, facial scanning, and vocal performance; director Guillermo del Toro will also contribute his likeness to another character through facial and body scanning. The game's title is a reference to the cetacean stranding phenomenon
After a lengthy corporate conflict with Konami as a restricted subsidiary, Kojima Productions closed in July 2015 and reformed as an independent video game developer and studio in December. Game director and producer Hideo Kojima announced the game at Sony's conference during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 with a trailer. The trailer was made possible with the technology of photogrammetry and performance capture. It featured American actor Norman Reedus, who will serve as the basis for the main protagonist. It is the second collaboration between Kojima and Reedus, following the canceled Silent Hills.

According to Kojima, one of the key aspects of the announcement trailer was the idea of a connection between life and death. Kojima explained one of the game's main themes through a short story by Kōbō Abe, in which Abe says that the first tool created by humans was a stick, meant as protection by putting a distance between oneself and "bad things", and that the second tool was a rope, which is used to secure things one finds important. Kojima compared the main "tools" in action games – punching, shooting and kicking – to sticks, and said that in Death Stranding he wants people to communicate through the game equivalent of ropes. Kojima described its genre as a quasi-action game, but with new and different elements. He compared this to how his earlier game Metal Gear – now considered a stealth game – was called an action game during its release because the stealth genre was not considered to exist at the time. The title refers to the phenomenon of cetacean stranding, whereby whales and other cetaceans are washed up on shore; "Strand" is an alternative word for shore, and also stands for strings and connections. The Schwarzschild radius and Dirac equation – relating to the theory of relativity and quantum field theory, respectively – appeared on dog tags worn by Reedus's character in the teaser.

Kojima and Mark Cerny, lead system architect of the PlayStation 4, spent two weeks in January 2016 traveling in search of a game engine on which to develop Death Stranding. One of the two remaining candidates had been used to create the teaser trailer. Guerrilla Games would later be announced as a collaborator on the development of the game as it was providing its proprietary game engine, Decima. Kojima Productions' meeting room was recreated in the engine as a reference of accuracy, for the purpose of testing physically-based lighting.

A second teaser unveiled that Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen would be joining the cast as the game's antagonist. It also featured a character bearing the likeness of film director Guillermo del Toro, who had previously collaborated with Kojima and Reedus on Silent Hills. A female protagonist is planned to be revealed. Ludvig Forssell, who previously worked with Kojima on Metal Gear Solid V, will be writing the music. An alternate cut of the second teaser included a song from the band Low Roar. Kojima Productions and Mondo Records partnered to release a 12-inch vinyl single of the song under the Death Stranding brand, which was released in February 2017.]

The game entered full development in 2017. A third teaser of 8 minutes was unveiled on December 7, 2017, during The Game Awards 2017, where Kojima and Reedus also appeared

Duck-dinosaur "jurassic world"

Posted by hoda  | No comments

jurassic world 2

The latest dino discovery was announced Wednesday in a study by the journal Nature. It walked like an ostrich, had flippers and could swim like a penguin, had a bill like a duck and a neck like a swan but had killer claws and teeth like a crocodile, which it needed because it was a meat-eating dinosaur.

jurassic world 2

And the whole package came in at a whopping 18-inches tall
t was named Halszkaraptor escuilliei, or “Halszka” for short, after the late Polish paleontologist Halszka Osmolska.

According to the study, the skeleton of the tiny bird-like creature was discovered in a sandstone rock and is believed to have roamed Mongolia 75 million years ago.

Lead author Andrea Cau, a paleontologist from Bologna, Italy, said he was at first highly suspicious about the fossil's authenticity, both because of its appearance and the fact that the rock containing the skeleton had been smuggled out of Mongolia and left in a private collector's hands.

jurassic world 2

"I asked myself, 'Is this a real, natural skeleton, or an artifact, a chimera? If this is a fake, how could I demonstrate it?'" Cau said. "Assuming it was a fake instead of starting assuming that the fossil is genuine was the most appropriate way to start the investigation of such a bizarre fossil."
Researchers used a Synchrotron, a powerful X-ray generator, to create three-dimensional images of the fossil, which showed the creature was indeed a single animal and not a concoction built from several sources.
Paul Tafforeau, a co-author of the study and a paleontologist in Grenoble, France -- home to the European Synchrotron -- said the dinosaur’s mashup body allowed it to run and hunt on the ground and fish in fresh water.
Another author of the study, Dennis Voeten described it as “a peculiar animal” adding that the dinosaur "combines different parts we knew from other groups into this one small animal.”

jurassic world 2

WASHINGTON — With a bill like a duck but teeth like a croc's, a swanlike neck and killer claws, a new dinosaur species uncovered by scientists looks like something Dr. Seuss could have dreamed up.
X

It also had flippers like a penguin, and while it walked like an ostrich it could also swim. That's the first time swimming ability has been shown for a two-legged, meat-eating dinosaur.
The tiny creature, only about 18 inches (45 centimeters) tall, roamed 75 million years ago in what is now Mongolia. Its full curled-up skeleton was found in a sandstone rock.
"It's such a peculiar animal," said Dennis Voeten, a paleontology researcher at Palacky University in the Czech Republic. "It combines different parts we knew from other groups into this one small animal."

jurassic world 2

In a study released Wednesday by the journal Nature , Voeten and coauthors named it Halszkaraptor escuilliei  (HAHL-shka-rap-tor ES-key-lay-ee) or "Halszka" after the late Polish paleontologist Halszka Osmolska.
Paleontologist Kristi Curry Rogers of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, who didn't participate in the study, called it "a pretty crazy chimera: a swan neck and dinosaur body, but with a mouthful of tiny teeth and hands and feet that look like they might be good for swimming."
Its mashup body let it run and hunt on the ground and fish in fresh water, said study co-author Paul Tafforeau. He's a paleontologist at the ESRF , known as the European Synchrotron in Grenoble, France, a powerful X-ray generator where numerous tests were made on the fossil.
Lead author Andrea Cau, a paleontologist at the Geological Museum Capellini in Bologna, Italy, said he was at first highly suspicious about the fossil's authenticity, both because of its appearance and the fact that the rock containing the skeleton had been smuggled out of Mongolia and left in a private collector's hands.
"I asked myself, 'Is this a real, natural skeleton, or an artifact, a chimera? If this is a fake, how could I demonstrate it?'" Cau said in an email. "Assuming it was a fake instead of starting assuming that the fossil is genuine was the most appropriate way to start the investigation of such a bizarre fossil."

jurassic world 2

So researchers used the Synchrotron to create three-dimensional images of the fossil, which showed the creature was indeed a single animal and not a concoction built up from several sources. For example, an arm hidden in the rock perfectly matched the visible left arm, and lines indicating growth matched up across the bones.
Even though the creature wasn't dreamed up by Dr. Seuss, it got a blessing from a Dr. Sues.
Hans Sues, a paleontologist at the Smithsonian Institution who wasn't part of the research, praised the work and said it "shows again how amazingly diverse dinosaurs were."

Supermoon of 2017

Posted by hoda  | No comments

A
full moon might come around once every 30 days, but a supermoon—when the full moon appears bigger and brighter than ever before—is a much rarer celestial spectacle. Like Thanksgiving dinner or resolutions to give up social media, supermoons only happen once, maybe twice a year. This year will see just one supermoon, and you’ll need to play your cards right this weekend for a chance to see it

Supermoon .
A supermoon is essentially a collision of two astronomic phenomena: the perigee and the syzygy. The moon’s distance from the Earth naturally fluctuates as it orbits. When it gets to its shortest distance, that’s called the perigee—it’s about 225,000 thousand miles away and 16,500 miles closer than usual. As the moon orbits around the sun and Earth orbits the sun, phases of the moon are intermittently created. The alignment between Earth, moon, and sun that creates full moons (or new moons) is called syzygy

Supermoon .
When the perigee occurs at the same time as a full moon, we get a “perigee syzygy”—colloquially known as a supermoon. When this happens, the moon appears up to 15 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than it usually does.
The last supermooon to hit the night skies was over a year ago, and it was closer to Earth than it’s been since 1948. It won’t be that close until 2034—this year’s supermoon, occurring on Dec. 3, which is Sunday night, will be a bit more muted: only about 7 percent bigger and 16 percent brighter. Depending on how much of an aficionado you are of lunar events, you might not really be that interested. Truth be told, many people can’t normally differentiate a supermoon from a run-of-the-mill full moon. If you want to really soak in the supermoon this year, you’re going to have to watch it the right way: like a space nerd.
First thing’s first: Look for the moon on the horizon right after moonrise (you can find local moonrise times here). It will appear bigger and brighter thanks to the “moon illusion” effect that makes the moon larger by the horizon than it does higher in the sky. Exactly why this happens is still unclear among scientists, but for the purposes of the supermoon, just go with it
,nasa,Supermoon .
Next: Bring a pair of binoculars, or even a small telescope, for some extra magnification. You’ll want to soak in as much of the supermoon as possible, and you’ll do yourself a favor by using this opportunity to gaze at incredibly fine details on the lunar surface.
If you miss the moonrise, you should still take an opportunity to look at the moon sometime in the night. You’ll also have an encore chance at a peak viewing moment at 3:45 a.m. ET on Dec. 4, according to NPR.
Yes, we’re trudging headfirst into the winter season, which means it’ll be cold out. If you’re a giant baby and don’t want to go outside, you can pull up a livestream of the Virtual Telescope as it watches the moon rise over Rome.
nasa
Normally this is the part where I might tell you how to find the moon using a night sky smartphone app, but if you already have problems spotting the moon, you might just want to stay inside and forget about the supermoon entirely.
For the rest of you, happy viewing!
supermoon is a full moon or a new moon that approximately coincides with the closest distance that the Moon reaches to Earth in its elliptic orbit, resulting in a larger-than-usual apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. The technical name is the perigee syzygy of the Earth–Moon–Sun system.] The term supermoonis not astronomical, but originated in modern astrology. The association of the Moon with both oceanic and crustal tides has led to claims that the supermoon phenomenon may be associated with increased risk of events like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, but there is no evidence of such a link.
nasa
The opposite phenomenon, an apogee syzygy, has been called a micromoon,]though this term is not as widespread as supermoon.
The most recent supermoon occurrence was on June 24, 2017, and the next one will be on December 3, 2017. The one on November 14, 2016 was the closest supermoon since January 26, 1948, and will not be surpassed until November 25, 2034. The closest supermoon of the century will occur on December 6, 2052.
nasa
Occasionally, a supermoon coincides with a total lunar eclipse. The most recent occurrence of this was in September 2015, while the next one will be in October 2033.

MOVING MAN METHOD

Posted by hoda  | No comments

The Moving Man Method is one of the most powerful white hat link building strategies on the planet.

Because The Moving Man Method is an advanced SEO technique, the steps in the process aren’t super-straightforward, like “submit your site to directories” or “publish a press release”.

That being said, it’s not rocket science.

Just follow the steps in this checklist and you’ll find yourself with more link building opportunities than you know what to do with.
FIND AN OUTDATED RESOURCE
Your first step is to find a web resource – like a brand, tool, guide or service – that no longer adds value.
For example, you can use a resource that recently:

Changed names

Moved to a new URL

Stopped offering a service

Stopped updating a resource Shut down

As long as the resource doesn’t provide value anymore, it’s a good fit.

For example, when SEOMoz rebranded to Moz (and changed their domain from SEOMoz.org to Moz.com), I knew there were thousands of links still linking to the old domain name.

So in that case, SEOMoz.org was the outdated resource that I used.
Another example:

You probably heard that movie rental giant Blockbuster closed its doors late least year.
Because Blockbuster Video is a household name, their site — Blockbuster.com – generated A LOT of quality backlinks over the years…

That’s just one of several thousand authoritative links still pointing to Blockbuster.com
If you’re in the entertainment niche, Blockbuster.com is an absolute gold mine of Moving Man Method link building opportunities
How can you find these outdated resources?

Here are two simple tactics that you can use… and 2 bonus tactics that I don’t mention in the post.
TACTIC #1: SEARCH GOOGLE NEWS ABOUT BUSINESS CLOSINGS, REBRANDS AND MERGERS

Google News is a treasure trove of information about companies  that close, rebrand or change      domain names

Just head over to Google News and use one of these search strings:

“Chapter 7” (Chapter 7 means the company dissolved. Chapter 11 means the company is restructuring)

“Business closes”

“Has closed”

“Out of business”

“Rebrands as”

“Bankruptcy”

TACTIC #2: SEARCH GOOGLE NEWS ABOUT BUSINESS CLOSINGS, REBRANDS AND MERGERS

Sometimes — for one reason or another — a business shuts down a feature on their site (like Google recently did with Google Reader).

Here are some search strings that you can use to find them:

“service not available”                                      “no longer available”

“page no longer exists”                                    “website closed”

“this website is no longer updated”                  “service no longer available”

“this page is no longer updated”
TACTIC #3: MINE YELP FOR LISTS OF LOCAL BUSINESSES THAT HAVE SHUT DOWN NEAR YOU

Just use this simple search string to find them: site:yelp.com intitle:closed city + business typ

For example, if you wanted to find closed book stores in Philly, you’d search for

TACTIC #4: PARKED PAGES

You can find parked pages using this search string:

“This page is parked FREE, courtesy of GoDaddy.com” + ”domain is for sale”
This brings up parked GoDaddy sites that are for
sale

You also can find niche-specific opportunities with the search string: “domain is for sale” + inurl:keyword
Most of the results will be sites that are for sale, like this one:

2                       FIND SITES THAT LINK TO THE OUTDATED RESOURCE.
This step is important:

Now that you’ve found a site that recently re-branded or a site feature that’s no longer there, it’s time to find the links pointing to that page.

Just grab the URL of the outdated resource and put it into your backlink checking
tool of choice

(I prefer to use ahrefs.com, but Majestic SEO and Open Site Explorer also work well)

And export all of the backlinks pointing to that page or site to an Excel spreadsheet or Google Doc:

When you do, you’ll have a spreadsheet with fistfuls of link opportunities

REACH OUT AND GET YOUR LINKS
At this point you’ve found an outdated resource in your industry…and the sites linking to that resource.

Nice work.

Now it’s time to email the people that are linking to the outdated resource.
Here’s the exact word-for-word email script to use:

Donald Trump

Posted by hoda  | No comments

 Donald Trump
Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current President of the United States, in office since January 20, 2017. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality.
Trump was born in the New York City borough of Queens. He earned an economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. A third-generation businessman, Trump followed in the footsteps of his grandmother Elizabeth and father Fred in running the family real estate company (now The Trump Organization). He controlled it from 1971 until his inauguration as president in January 2017, when he delegated company management to his sons Donald Jr. and Eric. Trump's business career primarily focused on building or renovating office towers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump has also started multiple side ventures and branded various products with his name. He has written or co-authored several books, including The Art of the Deal, and he produced and hosted the television show The Apprentice for 12 years. As of 2017, he was the 544th richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of $3.5 billion.
Trump had expressed interest in politics as early as 1987. He entered the 2016 presidential race as a Republican, and defeated sixteen opponents in the primaries. Commentators described his political positions as populistprotectionist, and nationalist. His campaign received extensive free media coverage; many of his public statements were controversial or false. Trump won the general election on November 8, 2016 against Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. He became the oldest and wealthiest person ever to assume the presidency, the first without prior military or government service, and the fifth to have won the election despite losing the popular vote. His election and policies have sparked numerous protests.
In domestic policy, Trump has sought, so far without success, to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. He appointed Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. He ordered a travel ban on citizens from several Muslim-majority countries, citing security concerns; the ban was partially implemented after legal challenges. In foreign policy, he withdrew the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership and from the Paris Climate Agreement, and undid parts of the Cuban Thaw. After Trump dismissed FBI Director James Comey, the Justice Department appointed a special counsel to continue the investigation into potential links between Russia and Trump campaign associates, and any related matters.

Trump resurrects Moore and embarrasses McConnell again

  • Roy Moore's tailspin in the polls has ended and now he's starting to gain ground again.
  • The shift clearly began after President Trump voiced his support for Moore on November 21st.
  • This is the latest evidence that President Trump holds much more sway with GOP voters than Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Republican establishment.
  • Trump issues new defense of Alabama's Roy Moore, says electing a Democrat would be 'bad'

    • President Donald Trump defended GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore, despite calls from other Republicans for Moore to leave the race due to sexual assault allegations.
    • In a pair of tweets, Trump called Moore's opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, a "puppet" of Democratic leadership and "BAD" for veterans, gun rights and taxes.
    • Trump's behavior raises questions of competency

    • potentially has millions of lives in his hands as the threat of a devastating war with North Korea swiftly escalates.
Yet the President of the United States is raising new questions about his temperament, his judgment and his understanding of the resonance of his global voice and the gravity of his role with a wild sequence of insults, inflammatory tweets and bizarre comments.
On Wednesday Trump caused outrage and sparked fears of violent reprisals against Americans and US interests overseas by retweeting graphic anti-Muslim videos by an extreme far right British hate group. Earlier this week he used a racial slur in front of Native American war heroes. He's attacked global press freedom, after cozying up to autocrats on his recent Asia tour.
      • White House defends anti-Muslim Trump tweets, says it doesn't matter if videos are real
